Capitol Neighborhoods, Inc., depends on its members
for undertaking the many functions that constitute its
purposes. In order to "enhance the neighborhoods'
residential attributes and character and promote camaraderie
among the neighborhoods' residents" the members
must create and maintain the many sections of the organization
to accomplish these goals. Most of the financial support
for the association comes from membership dues. The
influence that the association wields regarding changes
to our downtown is determined by the activities and
support of members. The Executive Committee is made
up of elected members as well as chairs of the various
standing committees, and is always responsive to the
wishes and desires of the general membership. Volunteering
as active members of committees and helping out during
specific activities such as walking tours are functions
which are necessary to maintain a vibrant neighborhood
organization.
All in all, it's the members of Capitol Neighborhoods,
Inc. who determine its success. |
